    Holli Herrle Castillo is an award-winning screenwriter, author, and lawyer. Her short story, Slick River, was published in the best-selling anthology, "The Stories of She: A Contemporary Anthology Featuring Strong Female Characters." She is also the author of the award-winning Gumbo Justice and Jambalaya Justice, and is currently working on Chocolate City Justice, the third in the series.

    Holli is an appellate public defender for the State of Louisiana and a former New Orleans Prosecutor. In 2017, she was awarded the 10:1 Blackstone's Order award for her public defense work. She has a JD from Loyola University and a Bachelor's in Drama from the University of New Orleans.

    Holli also has a colorful job history, including being a child support collector at the D.A.'s office, a Can-Can girl on Bourbon Street, and a cocktail waitress on Magazine Street.  She was "asked to leave" her very first job as a waitress at Shoney's because she tried to take over the restaurant. She was not successful in that endeavor.

    Holli was born and raised in New Orleans and currently lives in the metropolitant New Orleans area.
